Our Vision

Bayou Oaks Baptist Church is a biblical, inter-generational, and modern church dedicated to see the power of Christ realized in the families and people of the Monroe, LA area and beyond.

Our Mission

Bayou Oaks Baptist Church exists to proclaim the Gospel of Christ, in order to encourage new and existing believers in Christ to adopt a lifestyle of worship that results in communion with God. It is our aim to serve the Monroe area by developing a strong sense of values in our members, those being: Community, Commitment, Character, and Commission; for the sake of learning to live for others so that the Gospel of Christ can be re-communicated to our culture in a fresh and relevant way through relational and servant evangelism.

Our Values

The ultimate goal of Bayou Oaks Baptist Church is for God-fearing individuals in the Monroe area to become dedicated disciples of Jesus Christ, in order to live in Communion (Matthew 22:37) with the Father. We encourage our members to achieve this goal by growing in our “Four C’s” – Community (1 John 4:20, Matthew 22:39), Commitment (Luke 9:51, 62, Hebrews 12:1-2), Character (Ephesians 2:10, Colossians 3:1-2), and Commission (John 17:18, 21, Acts 1:8). We understand that a dedicated disciple of Christ is led by the Holy Spirit, and as a result has tangible or visible marks of love in their life that are expressed both personally and by regularly gathering with other believers: 1) They love God with all of their hearts, 2) they love the body of Christ, and 3) they love the world for which Christ died. They also display the “fruits of the Spirit” – which are: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
